This article explains how to use your TJohnson administrator account, maintain access, update the password before it expires and regain access if the password has already expired.
Why Is Your TJohnson User Important?
For security, we recommend using a Standard Windows user account for everyday activities and a separate Administrator account for installing software, updating applications and making system changes.
The TJOHNSON account provides the elevated permissions needed for certain updates and maintenance on your workstation. Keeping its password current and accessible is important, as an expired or unknown password can prevent these tasks from being completed.
How to Sign In as TJOHNSON When Required
- When the administrator permission pop-up appears, the account will default to iPOS (the first administrator listed alphabetically).
- Click More choices.
- Scroll down and select TJohnson.
- Enter the TJohnson account password to continue.
Change/Update Your Password
There are two ways to change the password for the TJOHNSON user account on your workstation:
Password Requirements:
- Must be at least 6 characters long.
- Cannot be a password used within the past year.
