This article will walk you through signing in to your Lightspeed Accounting (LSA) account and confirming the Status of the "Sales Journal", "Inv/CoGS Journal", and "Purchase Order(s)".
Enter the URL for LSA, https://accounting.lightspeed.app/login/auth, in your Google Chrome browser. Enter your credentials and click "Sign in".
The first status is "Posted".
If the value for "Posted" is "true", this means that the data has come from Lightspeed Retail and has been posted in Lightspeed Accounting and can be pulled down into your QBF desktop company file via the QB Web Connector or automatically put into your QuickBooks Online account.
The second status is "Synced".
If the value for "Synced" is "true", this means that the data has either been pulled down from Lightspeed Accounting into your QBF desktop company file via the QB Web Connector or automatically put into your QuickBooks Online account.
If the value for "Synced" is "false", this means that the data is either waiting to be pulled down from Lightspeed Accounting into your QBF desktop company file via the QB Web Connector or automatically put into your QuickBooks Online account.
- Log into Lightspeed Accounting.
- From the top menu bar, click on "Reports".
- In the upper left hand corner, select your store location (if you have more then one) and then select the date in question.
- At the bottom of the screen, click the "Sales" amount to bring up that day's information.
- In the top of the main window pane, click the tab named either "Accounting (QBD)" or "Accounting (QBO)"
- In this example, we will see that there are four entry types listed below.
- Sales
- Payments Journal
- Purchase Orders
- Cost of Sales
- We can click the right arrow icons for each "Entry Type" to expand their information.
- In this example we see that the "Sales", "Payments Journal", "Purchase Orders", and "Cost of Sales" all have an overall status with a green check mark and a individual status of "Synced".
- This means that the "Sales", "Payments Journal", "Purchase Orders", and "Cost of Sales" have been posted to Lightspeed Accounting and then have been pulled into your QB company file either via the QB Web Connector if you are using QuickBooks Desktop or your QuickBooks Online account.
- Now we will look at Purchase Order(s) for their status.
- In this example we will see that the Purchase Order(s) have a status of "Posted" and we already know that the status is "Synced" from the screen shot in step #8.
- This means that the Purchase Order(s) have been posted to Lightspeed Accounting and then have either been pulled into your QBF desktop company file via the QB Web Connector or directly put into your QuickBooks Online account.
- If you ever notice that the "Synced" status for the "Sales", "Payments Journal", "Purchase Orders", or "Cost of Sales" have a "Synced" status of "false", check to make sure that the QB Web Connector is running and perform a manual update to see if that data comes across and also see if there are any error messages listed for a specific piece of data and address it accordingly (such as a needed account mapping).
